Layered Bean Dip for Tortillas

1lb : Taco Bell Refried Beans (Alternatively soak 3cups rajma overnight. Pressure cook for 4-5 whistles and mash well) 1.25 oz : Taco Seasoning mix (Available in small pouches in the Latin Food aisle) 1/2 tsp: Cummin powder 1/4 tsp: Salt 1/8 tsp: Red Chilli powder 10-12 oz : Sour cream 1/2 cup : Shredded Lettuce 1 cup: de-seeded, finely chopped Roma Tomatoes (or any firm variety tomatoes to avoid sogginess) 3-4 oz : Mexican style Taco cheese (available shredded in packets) 13.5 oz : bag of Tortillas (scooped/ round chips/ restaurant style)

Mix the refried beans, taco seasoning mix, cummin powder, salt, red chilli powder and check the taste and adjust as required. In a 13x9 tray form a layer of this mixture. Top it with a layer of sour cream. Sprinkle with shredded lettuce and finely chopped tomatoes and pat lightly with a spatula. Sprinkle shredded cheese. Cover with plastic wrap and referigerate for 30mins - 1hour and it is ready to be served.
